The Green Acres Hotel promises to meet internationally recognised standards for protecting privacy by fully complying with the requirements of the Data Protection Laws of Guernsey. This website or it`s internet service provider or web server may use technologies such as cookies and the users IP addresses in order to deliver the requested pages, to collect statistical usage information and for the provision of services. More specifically, cookies are used by the Green Acres Hotel to authenticate you when you log in. Secure encryption tools may also be used for the provision of the service and to ensure that only authorised users can access the relevant areas of this site or web service.

This Policy Statement on extends to this site and does not extend to any other external links.

Personal Information Collection Statement

We only collect information about consumers that is required for the provision of our services or is required by law. The information that is collected from you will only be used for the purpose of processing your enquiry or order to the Green Acres Hotel, or processing your transactions and managing your account efficiently and securely. We treat the information you give us in our information collection pages as private and you have the right to access any information that we hold about you at any time, to check whether it is accurate and up to date. Disclosure to Third Parties

Private information will not be made available to third parties unless we have

   •  express permission by the individual concerned
   •  the purpose of providing our services
   •  order of any competent states authority

We will only share information with business partners if necessary for the provision of the services, provided that they use such information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy and subject to the Data Protection Legislation.

Reservations are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking.

Verbal quotes are valid for 24 hours only, and is subject to written confirmation

Green Acres bears no responsibility for monies paid via a travel agency until such funds have been delivered to the Green Acres Hotel.

Green Acres retains right of refusal toward any animal either in the rooms, the public areas or in the restaurants.

Smoking is prohibited anywhere within the building, a smoking area is provided outside the front door and a further area to the side of the swimming pool.

Group reservations (more than six rooms) must be communicated in writing to the reservations department. Different terms, conditions and price policy apply.

Green Acres is an old building, and has two levels. This means that there are staircases to the upper floor, while there are steep ramps and steps to the ground floor level and patio. Access to most rooms may be limited to persons with disabilities. The hotel will make every attempt to ensure that access to rooms, is made available, if advance notice is given. However, for the safety of the customer and for staff alike, due consideration should be made while booking. It is the responsibility of the client to inform the hotel at the booking stage.

A full English breakfast is normally served except for early morning departures, when only a continental breakfast is supplied. Late arrivals who have booked half board and arrive after the restaurant is closed will be provided a cold meal

1 Prices and Booking:

All prices given are expressed in Pounds Sterling. Please note that VAT is not applicable on Guernsey.

Prices do not include holiday tax , service tax, or holiday extras where applicable.

Green Acres reserves the right to make price modifications at any given time to unguaranteed or unconfirmed reservations. The right is also retained to change promotions or offers without notice.

Once full payment is made then agreed prices will not alter.

A double is defined as a room for two persons in a large bed, a twin for two persons in two single beds, a triple is a room for three persons with a double bed and a single bed.

Reservations may be made either by telephone, or by internet. All clients are advised to carefully read the confirmation sent by the hotel reception, as this is what will be understood as the final reservation.

Breakfast is included in the room price unless otherwise stated.

2 Payment:

The amount due at the time of reservation is dependant on the arrival date, and the type of room reserved.

Clients are required to guarantee a booking using credit or debit card over the phone, or by sending a cheque. The following cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Switch / Maestro, CB (French bank card).

Alternatively a bankers cheque is possible as guarantee.

Until a guarantee payment has been received by the hotel, then a booking cannot be considered as confirmed.

3 Reservation changes made by the client:

If the client wishes to modify his reservation after it has been confirmed, the Green Acres will do all we can to fulfil the request without guarantee.

The client must request the modification by post or email, no later than 31 days before the arrival date.

4 Cancellation conditions:

Green Acres will guarantee a reservation with a credit card number. Please refer to payment.

Non arrivals, and cancellations made, less than 48 hours before the day of arrival will be debited one nights accommodation.

If less than one weeks notice is given, before the arrival date then 50% of the first nights accommodation will be charged.

With 14 days notice then a charge of 25% will be made against the first nights booking.

Prior to 15 days notice then there will be no penalty.

A client is not entitled to any reimbursement if he interrupts his holiday, regardless of reason (including strike, medical requirements etc).

Without a guarantee, there is no confirmed booking (please see Payment).

Please note that cancellation terms may vary when booking via our website, depending on the rate and / or special offer that is booked.

5 Arrival and Departure times:

Rooms are available from 2pm on arrival day. On the day of departure the room must be vacated by 11am, otherwise the client will be invoiced for an extra day.

If a client wishes to guarantee an early arrival, then without prior agreement an extra night may be charged. In the case of a late arrival (after 9pm), the client must notify the hotel reception by telephone or give advance written notification.

6 Responsibility:

Green Acres will not be responsible for damage or theft of personal belongings within the hotel , the hotel car park or in related areas.

No responsibility is accepted should injury or death occur as a result of any activity organized locally.

Green Acres will not be responsible should unforeseen circumstances upset or interrupt a holiday or prevent it taking place.

Children under 18 are the unique responsibility of their parent or guardian for the duration of their stay and children should not be left unattended in the hotel.

Clients shall not enter any area marked "personnel only" or private.

Animals accepted by the hotel will be uniquely the responsibility of the client. Should any damage, fouling or incident occur, then the owner of the animal will be liable.

7 Complaints:

Any complaint must be brought immediately to the attention of the manager or proprietor so that every opportunity is given to the establishment to correct any issue on site.

If any issue is unresolved immediately or un-notified prior to departure the client must notify us in writing within 28 days of his departure date, with details of the complaint.

The client is not entitled to any indemnity should any urgent repairs have to be carried out within his accommodation during his stay.

8 Special Offers:

All special offers are applicable to new bookings only. Offers may not be taken in conjunction with another offer, nor cant hey be taken consecutively. Prices are based on two adults sharing a twin or double room, and are subject to availability.

9 Recommendations

The Green Acres Hotel strongly recommends that all clients take out travel and holiday insurance. There is no reciprocal arrangement between the UK and the Channel Islands regarding charges for health care.
